About the role

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT DIVISION of NAVAL COMMUNICATION DETACHMENT CUTLER, MAINE. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

What you'll do

You will perform the duties of the Administrative Division Head.,You will serve as the Collateral Duty Public Affairs Officer, Freedom of Information and Privacy Act Coordinator, Drug Free Workplace Coordinator, Secret Control Officer, Official Mail Manager and Incentive Awards Administrator.,You will serve as the principal advisor and direct representative to the Technical Director in matters pertaining to the classification, safeguarding, transmission, and destruction of classified information.,You will develop security measures and procedures regarding visitors who require access to classified information or locations.,You will serve as the Civilian Personnel Liaison between the Detachment, NCTAMS LANT and the servicing Human Resource Office, HR regional center and payroll office.,You will ensure all civilian personnel reports and responses to data calls from higher echelons are submitted accurately and on time.,You will advise management and Civilian Programs Office on position management and staffing.,You will monitor and update the Technical Director on all grievance procedures and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience analyzing expenditures, identifying trends and addressing shortfalls. -Experience managing correspondence, directives, purchasing, timecards/payroll and similar programs. -Experience managing work schedules, developing performance plans, and evaluating employee performance. -Experience advising management on security and administrative policies, labor relations, civilian personnel regulations and policy/personnel support services. This position is within the Work Category SUPERVISION & MANAGEMENT at Work Level FULL-PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-0341-11. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
