MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER

About the role

You will serve as a MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER in the Non-Nuclear Inspection Division, Inspection Branch 133.2 of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

What you'll do

You will explain changes to technical procedures and determine proper material safety precautions.,You will advise other employees on existing instructions to ensure deadlines are met.,You will monitor and ensure safety requirements are followed and tools and equipment are used properly.,You will provide oral and written instruction, outlining quality and quantity of work and inspection requirements, and general work/inspection methods and procedures.,You will also perform the duties of a Mechanical Inspector; setting the pace, including demonstrating proper methods.

Qualifications

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
