About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST in the Project Office of the Planning Yard Division of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

What you'll do

You will provide supervisory oversight of the Planning Yard division of SUPSHIP BATH.,You will be responsible for coordination of the requirements between all internal and external customers as well as with the contractor's Planning Yard and Post-delivery government organizations.,You will contribute to a team-oriented environment and demonstrates ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships.,You will be responsible for resolving problems, initiating inquiries into issues, determining the source of funds, what alternatives may be available and providing sound recommendations for work around strategies.,You will manage and supervise the SUPSHIP personnel assigned to the Planning Yard team and provides task management of supporting contractor personnel.,You will manage leave, overtime and compensatory time use for subordinate employees.,You will determine and assign priorities and set goals for work within the project team based on overall program requirements.,You will establish work standards, plans tasks, develops and publishes schedules and when necessary, recommends alternative approaches to resolving technical or workload problems.,You will develop and monitor performance indicators and other metrics appropriate to an objective assessment of the team's work in each key area.,You will provide coverage for all duties normally accomplished by the Deputy Project Manager during that person's absence as designated by the Director or Deputy.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading marine industrial projects to establish work standards or plan tasks for the oversight of program task management.
